ABOUT US

THE FOUNDER
Hello, I’m Beekeeper Tom!
I’m a passionate local beekeeper, surfer and love to identify different varieties of eucalyptus trees & wildflowers. You can often find me running to the waves for a surf after a long day spent working with our 500,000 honeybees.
After learning the gentle art form of beekeeping whilst travelling overseas, I founded Coastal Nectar to raise awareness of the importance of my favourite pollinators…
The BEES!!!

THE GENTLE ART OF BEEKEEPING
Nestled on Wadawurrung land, along the Surfcoast of Victoria. Coastal Nectar was founded in 2020 after a successful kickstarter campaign helped to grow a passionate hobby into a environmentally conscious small business.
Specialising in small batch local honey & educational community programs. Coastal Nectar is putting a modern twist on the 9000 year tradition of beekeeping.
‘We are deeply inspired by this beautiful coastline and it’s diversity of flowering eucalyptus, winds, tides & wildflowers. This region provides native pollinators and honeybees with a great pollen and nectar source throughout the year’.
